Impromptu visit with AVL Overland to Hurricane Creek

After a weekend carousing in Asheville for a buddy’s birthday, I was contacted by the folks from AVL Overland to join on a trip out to the Hurricane Creek trail within Pisgah National Forest.

Hurricane Creek Trail is part of the Pisgah National Forest Service Route (FSR) network. We started this trail from an at-grade crossing on Interstate 40 before finishing off near Max Patch.

We had an impressive showing of folks joining us for the day trip. Barring some slippage that occurred as a result of the slippery conditions, we didn’t encounter any undue issues for the day.
